Day 27—ASK ANYTHING ACCORDING TO GOD'S WILL

I John 5:13-15 "I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. 14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him."

We can be assured that God hears our prayers. John stipulates that we should align our requests with His will. The Holy Spirit will help us do that. Another way we know God's will is to read His Word each day. A third way to know God's will is to spend time with Him each day, worshipping Him and thanking Him. A fourth way to know God's good, pleasing and perfect will is to NOT conform to this world, but to transform our thinking by renewing our minds (Romans 12:2). Answered prayer isn't the goal; it's the outcome!

Heavenly Father, thank You for the absolute assurance of eternal life through Your Son, Jesus. Because of this unshakable foundation, I approach You with holy boldness today. I pray that my desires align with Your perfect will, trusting that you hear me and will grant my petitions. In Jesus’ Mighty Name. Amen.
