The Rev. Jenny McCord

The Rev. Jenny Barnes-McCord was ordained in 2008 and has devoted her ministry to teaching, preaching, and leading Bible study. She has a deep passion for sharing God’s Word and helping others grow in their faith. Rev. Barnes-McCord especially enjoys working with children and youth, believing that the Christian family is at the heart of a strong and faithful church. She also honors the older generations, recognizing them as the foundation upon which the church continues to stand and grow. Music has always been an important part of her life and ministry. She has spent many years leading worship in various churches, and more recently, she has embraced a joyful new hobby—playing in a small jazz, blues, and oldies band with her husband and daughter. She is the proud mother of three adult children and grandmother to nine grandchildren, who bring great joy and energy to her life. Her mission is to encourage and strengthen others to remain faithful as we await the second coming of Christ.

Katie Weber, Student Pastor

Katie Weber feels blessed to serve as Student Pastor while continuing her seminary studies through PEG Ministries. She is joyfully looking forward to ordination in the fall of 2026. More than anything, she says she sees herself as a sinner saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. She believes the Bible to be the inspired and true Word of God, and it is her greatest joy to share the hope, truth, and love of Christ with others. Katie says God has placed a deep desire in her heart to spread His Word, encourage those who hear it, and help strengthen the faith of the congregation and their families. She cares deeply for each member of this church family. As part of the North American Lutheran Church tradition, Student Pastor Katie says she holds firmly to the Lutheran principles rooted in Scripture and centered on the Gospel of Jesus Christ, pointing out that these truths remind us that salvation is not earned by our works, but freely given through the mercy and love of Jesus Christ. She feels it has truly been an honor and blessing to be chosen to serve this church family, continuing to grow together in God’s Word, encouraging one another, and sharing the love of Christ with our community. Katie’s prayer is that Christ will always remain the center of our church, our homes, and our lives as we await His return. Katie and her husband have two wonderful children, ages 9 and 6. They spend our days enjoying the simple blessings God has provided. In addition to her service at the church, she currently works as a Lead Cashier at Fisher’s Country Store.
