Day 19 – SPIRIT OF GOD

I John 4:1-3: “1 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3 but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.”

Satan has an army of demonic forces that are here to steal, kill, and destroy. Jesus shed His blood on the cross to defeat the enemy. The Holy Spirit speaks truth to us. The other spirits lie. We must be filled with God’s Spirit and allow Him to help us discern between truth and deception, between good and evil. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, asking for Your wisdom to guide us as we test the spirits to see if they are from You. In a world where so many false voices echo, grant us the discernment to recognize the truth. We boldly confess together that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. We anchor our faith in this divine reality, trusting that Your Spirit lives within us to overcome the deception around us. Keep us united in Your truth, and let our lives continually honor the incarnate Son, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
