Day 11 – ETERNAL LIFE

“I John 2:24-25: "24 As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. 25 And this is what he promised us—eternal life."

After warning us about the Antichrist, John encourages us to hold on to our faith in Jesus Christ. As a result, we will receive what Jesus promised us—eternal life. The first aspect of our eternal life begins the day we receive Jesus Christ as we live this life NOW. The second aspect of eternal life begins at our death when we are immediately escorted to Heaven. The third aspect of eternal life occurs at the end of the age, with the New Heaven and the New Earth as described in Revelation 21. No more death, mourning, crying, or pain. Hallelujah … God makes all things new!

Heavenly Father, I come before You in the name of Jesus, my Savior. Thank You for the gift of Your Word and the truth of the Gospel that I heard from the beginning. Lord, I ask that this truth—the message of Your love and sacrifice—would not just be heard, but that it would truly remain and abide deep within my heart. I desire that Your Word takes up permanent residence in my being, shaping my thoughts and actions. Help me to keep that original gospel message alive within me, that I may not be led astray by the deceptive voices of this world. By Your grace, I pray that as Your Word abides in me, I will continue to remain in fellowship with the Son and with the Father. Strengthen me to walk in the light and to bear fruit that brings You glory, abiding as a branch connected to the true Vine. Thank You for the incredible promise You have made to me: eternal life. Thank You that this life is not just a future hope, but a present reality as I live in deep relationship with You. Help me to live securely in this promise, finding my joy, stability, and peace in You every day. In Jesus’ holy name, Amen.
