Day 10 – ANTICHRISTS

“I John 2:18-23: "18 Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour. 19 They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us. 20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth. 21 I do not write to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it and because no lie comes from the truth. 22 Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist—denying the Father and the Son. 23 No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also."

An antichrist is someone who is against the Messiah, who opposes Jesus and His saving work. John affirms there is one still coming …the antichrist. Daniel's vision describes a beast who will be against the Lord and persecute His people (Daniel 7:23-25). The antichrist will bring lies and deception, but we have the anointing of the Holy Spirit to help us know what is true.

Heavenly Father, Thank You for Your Word and the sobering warning from the apostle John that we are living in the "last hour". In a world filled with many voices trying to lead us away from the truth, I ask for Your protection against the spirit of the antichrist and all false teachings that seek to deceive. Thank You that I am not left to navigate this darkness alone, but have an anointing from the Holy One—Your Spirit living within me—to know and recognize the truth. Lord, I confess that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. I firmly believe that Jesus is Your Son and the only way to the Father. Keep me from ever denying the Son, knowing that to acknowledge Him is to have the Father also. Help me to let the truth I heard from the beginning abide in me, so that I may abide in the Son and in the Father, holding fast to the promise of eternal life. In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Have a blessed day! Pr Jenny
