Day 22 – ACKNOWLEDGE JESUS

I John 4:13-15: “This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. 15 If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God.”

The word ‘acknowledge’ appears 4 times in the book of I John. To Acknowledge Him means to give our assent. If someone asks if we’re a Christian—a believer and a follower of Jesus—we admit and consent our standing with Him by saying yes. And we do so with confidence. To Acknowledge also means taking the initiative to tell others about Jesus. We are witnesses to the world. If we don’t tell them, who will?

Heavenly Father, we thank You for abiding in us and for giving us Your Holy Spirit as proof of Your love. We boldly confess that Jesus is the Son of God, and we rest in the assurance that You live in us, and we live in You. Amen.
